“VOLGA” is the 1st independent commercial TV Company in Nizhny Novgorod that has its own broadcasting channel.
It has been broadcasting since 1992.

Ms Kolchinskaya is a qualified journalist who has successfully set up several Nizhny Novgorod means of mass media: Volga TV Company, Strezhen TV Channel, Rendezvous radio, newspaper “Gorod I Gorozhane”. Ms Kolchinskaya is a member of the board of directors of National Association of TV Broadcasters; Head of the Regional office of the National Association of Broadcasters in Privolzhsky Federal Circuit; Vice-President of the Eurasian TV Academy, member of Russian National forums “New Russia” and “TV challenge”, winner of Nizhniy Novgorod award, prize-winner of “Taffy-region 2002” for “Personal Contribution into the Development of Russian Television”. In 2007 Ms Kolchinskaya was awarded a title of “The best manager of the decade”.

Got into position on 1,November, 2008. While working on the Volga TV Company, he was rewarded according to his deserts, he got letters of commendation from the Head of Nizhny Novgorod Administration, the Governor of Nizhegorodsky Region and speakers of government. In 1999 he became a Nizhny Novgorod laureate for participation in All-Russians forums on The Nizhegorodskaya Fair. In 1999 and in 2002 Volga TV Company was avowed of National Television Association. In 2004 Sergey Laptev became a winner of the All-Russians competition “Manager of the year”- nomination “Press advisory”. Sergey Laptev is an expert of the National Television Association and Eurasian Television Academy. He participated in forming of television labour laws in Russian Federation. The head of the central management of informational broadcasting of Volga is Alexander Rezontov. Over a long period Mr Rezontov has been the most popular and influential journalist in ratings of all Nizhniy Novgorod mass media. His analytical programme called “Afterword. Advertisement Department has filmed feature length documentaries about the history of Nizhniy Novgorod that have been replicated on videocassettes “To Nizhniy with Love” (in Russian and English) and “City Circle”. Volga company was one of the organizers and media sponsor s of national competitions such as “the Future of Russia”, “New Russia”, “It’s time to live in Russia”, “The great rives-‘99”, “ Russia on the”, “United Russia”, and many congresses within the framework of Forums of Russian Regional TV Companies called “TV challenge”. News and major events of the forums were broadcast live from a special studio built in Nizhniy Novgorod Fair.
Our journalists have managed to interview many famous politicians that visited Nizhniy Novgorod. The guests of the fair studio were I.Klebanov, G.Yavlinsky, G. Zuganov, V, Zhirinovsky. The interview with Boris Yeltsin broadcast live by Volga company became a legend. The Fair studio of Volga company broadcast presentations devoted to the beginning of broadcasting of such channels as “Muz TV”, “Culture”, “TVC” and the first digital broadcasting project – “TV village”. In 2001 Volga TV Company launched an experimental live broadcasting of Forum events on its site www.volga-tv.ru. The audience was people from 33 countries.
Since 2001 every year Volga together with Nizhniy Novgorod Committee on Sport, Physical Training and Tourism have been holding a city festival named “Volga! Youth! Health!” . In 2004, the National Association of Broadcasters acknowledged the festival as the best social project in Russia.
In march 2005 Volga was awarded a golden medal “For the nobility of ideas and actions” and an honorary title “National Pride” on behalf of the International Charity Fund of the “Patrons of the Century”.
The name of Volga TV Company is written in the book “National Pride of Russia”.
